WATPAC
NEWSTEAD, QLD
THE PROJECT
Outline Design Office was engaged by WATPAC, to consolidate 4 floors of their existing office space to 2 floors while they complete construction of a new building, Jubilee Place, which will ultimately be their new home. This project included re-use of many enclosed spaces to accommodate required meeting and support areas, and repurposing of workstations to suit the revised layout. The key spaces for redesign included a new Boardroom and shared client arrival and staff teapoint.
The brief was to create a shared zone which better communicated the WATPAC brand, with improved visitor sign-in and a more welcoming and activated experience. The concept of creating a shared zone, where visitors, project partners and staff mix and use facilities, promotes transparency within the business and builds stronger connections.
A neutral and warm palette was used with layers of texture applied across joinery details which showcase quality and Master Builder capability of the WATPAC team. A surprising and pleasant oasis for new and returning visitors, this space also provides opportunities to test some of the key ideas to be incorporated in the upcoming project at Jubilee Place.
